A few doubts about IPTV

by neapo
  • I tested and enjoyed the trial of rapidtv, i don't know how good it its on the long way, anyone can provide feedback?
  • I have 2 tv's at home (one lcd and one old tv) and an ipad 4, if i want to see the channels on those ways, how can i do it? Do i need to buy more than 1 subscription?
  • I do travel a few times a year, for exemple if i'm from country A and get to country B can i still watch tv under the same subscription?
  • Can i buy in a share way a subscription? For example me and a cousin pay half of it and both enjoy in different homes and different devices.

  1. Rapid is ok, acceptabble. 2. Yes you need to buy extra connections from same provider, some offer more then 1 included, some ask for extra fee. 3. Yes travel anywhere where you have internet. 4. Depends, most providers will let you connect only through 1 IP, some allow 2 IPs. Subs are 8-10$ a month, so 1 beer less a month, enjoy TV without your cousin.

  1. Sorry, never used Rapid, but if its good on the trial, sub for a month and see. Never sub for more than a month at a time until you are certain its the right service for you. Then, at most, take out a 3 month sub. The nature of IPTV means things can change quickly and a good service can be a bad service, or gone completely, overnight.

  2. Most services only allow one connection at a time. Not sure how Rapid works, but if you want to watch on more than one TV simultaneously, you will need a second subscription or some services allow you to pay a discounted rate for the second connection. Contact Rapid for details on how they do it.

  3. Again, can't speak for Rapid, but many services will allow this as long as you aren't also connected at home at the same time. Like if you are travelling and your wife is at home, you can't both watch simultaneously unless you pay for multiple connections.*

  4. No! Of this I can be relatively certain. Rapid will not allow you to share the subscription. Only two services that I know of will allow that...Smoothstreams and Torula. At one time, they were good services but I have no idea how good they are anymore.

    • Just as an FYI...Vaderstreams (which you will see heavily advertised by resellers in this subreddit) allows up to 5 connections from 3 different IP addresses simultaneously. If you want to watch on multiple TVs or while away, they are worth a trial to see if they meet your needs. Sharing is not allowed, but you can certainly watch while travelling even if someone at home is watching at the same time.

Good luck.

You can come give us a 24HR trial to see if we are OK for you. I will answer some of your Q's below:

  1. If you have 2 TV's at home you can purchase additional connection which allows you to use a LINE account on mutliple devices at the same time on the same IP.
  2. If you travel you can use our services in country A or country B under the same subscription. We don't restrict this.
  3. If you want to share, yes you can with your 'cousin'. However it can only be used 1 at a time not same time if different IP's. Same IP's and you have additional connections purchased you can use the one account same time.
