iptv for slower internet?

by olddutchbbq

I live in a rural area and only have 5mbps dsl available. Is there a provider that works well on a slower internet connection.

I get 5mbps speeds only and i have used almost all of the services without any issues whatsoever. Sure channel change can be a bit slow but that's about it. No buffering unless the server is crap.

Hello, We do offer 2G quality stream for low internet connection and obviously you could try with SD quality and see if it buffers or not, here is our channel list pastebin.com/uNqnvSVp , pm for free 48hrs trial.

Most big providers have a copy of best channels as SD too, 5mbps is not bad, a little buffer on channel change, but should go on then.

I've heard the at the go to recommendation for slower connections is NFPS but haven't tried them personally. Also if you're in a rural area I'd look into finding out if there's a WISP in your area, you might get much better speeds.

Are you sure you are geting 5mb consistently? Even the best FHD channels rarely pop over 5mb, I have seen mine go to 5.9mb on occasion while monitoring the bandwidth on my router. and would average somewhere around 5mb at most. HD (720p) should easily run ok on a 5mb line as long as you are actually getting 5mb, they probably average somewhere around 2.5-3mb.
