I've tried a number of software solutions to record my IPTV stream and with each, I have reliability issues. Rarely I'll get a complete recording, mostly a few minutes or a partial recording.
I've tried Plex DVR with homerun, Emby and NextDVR.
Any reason why this is causing me so many issues?
I've successfully recorded streams on Windows using both vlc and progdvb if you don't mind using Windows rather than a box?
I've only ever really got recording working reliably through an enigma box, every other method has been hit and miss.
Buzz 3000 or formulerz7+ are made for this.
May I ask if you ever found a fix. I'm having similar problems.
I dont have any of those but it sounds like the stream is stuttering and the stuttering stops it recording. Any freezing of buffering when you watch normally?
I use an enigma2 device (duo2) and it records well, not the best at recovering when a stream has glitches though (regardless of recording or not), sometimes needs changing channel and back again for it to continue the stream if it has temporarily stopped, it's like it has no 'retry' ability to recover from any glitches so when it does that it justs its there forever until you change channel to re-start the stream.
