I use my Note 8 quite often to watch live sports when I'm working out. I also use a fitness program to keep track of my workout. I will switch between these 2 apps very frequently. The problem is whenever I'm watching something live, when I switch to my fitness app the iptv app stops streaming. In order to resume, I will have to open up the iptv app and click resume. My question is does anyone know of an iptv app that keeps playing in the background?
I think this is a limitation of the OS and you'd need a phone that either supports split screen apps, or one that has an unlockable bootloader so you can install twrp & something like Lineage (I know its capable).
Iirc Stb emu has an option to carry on playing video in the background you may want to grab the free version from the app store and test for yourself
Perfect Player has an option to "playback in background"

I use STB emulator. Go into the advanced settings and there is an option to allow playback in background
