IPTV newbie here. I'm leaning towards purchasing a T2 or a Z7+ but was wondering if anyone can shed some light on the pros and cons of Dol2 and MyTVOnline. At first glance it looks to me that Dol2 is better but maybe I'm missing something? I already know about the hardware i'm really just curious about the software.
No, I had all but Prog on my T1+. After it died I tried an older android box for backup while I tried to claim warranty and to my surprise ProgTV was more than adequate for iptv. Surprisingly terrarium works better on my other box, T1 would crash on too many links. I suggest only these boxes if you are going for Dol2.. hardware wise there are much better boxes
And why do you want those 2?
They're the same app, just branded with different names. If you've narrowed it down to those 2 boxes, get the Z7+ for the extra GB of RAM if you plan on using any Android apps
They’re the same function with a different name. I suggest being careful of Dreamlink for a while. When the T2 was released, they outed an update which killed my T1 Plus. This has happened over 50 times if you look around the forum. This business practice goes back to the Sonicview days. It was a very common fta practice. My dealer would not cover the warranty. I ended up downloading ProgTV on my mqx box and it works great and looks pretty good too. EPG updates great as well. Check that apk out first you’ll be surprised how great it works with the newest version.
Try out the xpl3000 as well which compares more to the z7+. I'd say go for the z7+ vs the t2 though.
Ok I'd like to order chime in here. I also have to consider the wife-friendly avenue so I tried the three: dreamlink T2, formuler z7+ and buzztv xpl3000
Key differences that aren't obvious specs-wise:
-Dreamlink t2 has the best remote of the three -T2 and xpl3000 have good wifi ranges -z7+ has really shitty wifi, crappy remote
To be honest, my Formuler z7+ also had issue where it would not wake from sleep and I believe it's a known issue. The extra GB of ram was not enough for all other downsides imo. I returned it.
I still have T2 and xpl3000 and love both. If you use epic, catch-up works better on t2. Pausing live tv works on both. Both of these boxes are great values and DOL2 and MyTV Online are the exact same app for their respective boxes.
If you're on the fence, buy from Amazon and benefit from the amazing return policy and buy from a reseller that won't hassle you to change your Mac address.
