Nice gesture, and props to them on doing something a lot of other providers wouldn't. That said:
Short term damage control aimed around avoiding having to spend more already pocketed profit just buys additional time here. It ultimately isn't solving the fact they've oversold the service.
Enjoy the early return to stability while all those frustrated subs and endless stream of free trials are still sitting on the sideline though.
