It doesn't have to be that mac in the server screen that you give. Just generate one from a mac generater website and give the reseller that one. Anyways the mac on the outside of the buzz doesn't even start with 00-1A-79 which is the format you need to give for resellers.
When a provider holds your Mac captive you can always change the Mac on the Buzz.
When u go into the server settings on the box where u put the portal in. It will say mac address and thats the one u give.
I have that box and its amazing.
