Nvidia Shield

by aneesthebeast94

I have just recieved my shield. Upgraded from a 3rd gen fireTV. I was using stbemu on the fireTV and was wondering is that still the best option for iptv on the Shield aswell ? Are there any settings you would reccommend to configure for optimal performance or any Shield specific settings within stbemu? Or just use the same (optimal) settings that were being used for the FireTV? As its new, i just want the best performance out of it for iptv sakes. So any tip, tricks or hints are welcome!

Thanks a bunch

Perfect player This app is great for non-Android TV Android boxes (fire tv, etc.). It doesn't look the best but it is pretty stable and definitely gets the job done.

Tvirl opens up live channels on the shield. This basically makes your tv display like a cable box with the full program guide and screen overlay. It natively supports picture in picture and allows you to use your remote to search for different programs. The only downside is the best method that's currently available requires you to manually refresh the EPG every fewdays.

Tvirl is the best for iptv imo or perfect player. Check them out on youtube to decide and enjoy your shield.

TVirl for watching (using Google voice search to find a channel is probably my fave feature) and perfect player for watching catchup.

I’ve had my shield for about a month now. I plugged it in, installed stbemu and that’s about it.. runs so much better than my Chinese android boxes

Give it a shot, I use fab also and I think stbemu is setup pretty well. No complaints here

I use FabIPTV with STBemu on my NVIDIA Shield TV and have zero complaints.

It works 85% of the time which is more than enough for me considering what I get and how much I pay.
