EDIT 2 Looks like everything is back to normal. Thanks friends.
So I know recently Vaders has been less than stellar with their stability, but everything seems to be up and running now and I still can't get my PVR to go back to normal. I run latest Kodi with Vaders and IPTV Simple Client.
Before the recent issues, my EPG would only have the categories I wanted [CA,US,UK,Sports]. It didn't load 1400 channels then filter them, it loaded 400 channels total. I could select the categories in Vaders settings, and the m3u link in IPTV Simple Client would update with a new "&filterCategory=" parameter to filter out all the ones I didn't want.
Now that parameter is gone from the m3u link, whenever I update my categories, it only changes my channel groups in the PVR client. Did something change or is it just me?
EDIT
I have a workaround right now to get the PVR to only load the channel groups you want.
- Login to http://watch.vaders.tv and edit your settings to select the shows you want.
- In the Vaders add-on in Kodi, disable the PVR integration.
- In IPTV Simple Client, change your M3U URL to: http://vaders.tv:80/get.php?username=USERNAME&password=PASSWORD&type=m3u&output=m3u8
- Reboot.
I have no clue what this is about. This is the url that I use, the filterCategory parameter still works to filter out crap for me and whatever options that I select over at http://watch.vaders.tv/settings have zero effect on the response from a HTTP GET request to this url:
http://api.vaders.tv/vget?username=[my_username]&password=[my_password]&filterCategory=Afghani,Arabic,Bangla,Canada,Filipino,France,Germany,Gujrati,India,Ireland,Italy,Latino,Live%20Events,Malayalam,Marathi,Pakistan,Portugal,Punjabi,Spain,Tamil,United%20States,United%20States%20Regionals&format=ts
Perhaps VaderStreams are changing and breaking things by the minute?
Whatever is going on I fully expect there to be another round of this nonsense when they eventually work wtf they're doing with this borked thing that they keep spewing over telegraph: "In some client applications the ordering of channels is not correct, this is a known issue and a fix is STILL being worked on."
