Same virtual MAC on different Android boxes?

by TheDude77

I just got IPTV express and am using STBEmu on my Xiaomi mi box. Everything is working great and I'm very happy. I'm interested in getting another mi box for my basement and putting STBEmu on that as well. Can I use the same virtual mac address on both boxes to watch IPTV on both (as long as only one is running). Or will I register a different virtual MAC address (and essential pay for a whole other subscription?)

Yes. As long as only one portal is active at a time its fine. If you want to watch simultaneously you will need a second subscription and to register a different MAC address.

This won't work with a buzz and stbemu. I've posted many times about this before. I have express and use MiBox and a buzz. With the buzz the serial or something else is tied to the mac. Even if you use the same mac and serial on stbemu you'll be blocked. You can go from stbemu (serial section empty) to buzz with no problems though. But then you can't go back.

Depends on the supplier. Most will lock the Mac on hardware so it is only that device that can be used. Otherwise you could have 10 devices with the same Mac.

In my experience with certain providers (no idea about Express) this doesn't work

I have a Formula prime/T2 and recently purchased a Buzz 3000 and changed the mac of the buzz to the Formulas mac address They both work fine on the same sub but Im careful not to put them both on at the same time.
