Merge 2 providers

Does anyone know how I can merge 2 providers into one m3u file for smart iptv? I currently have 2 providers, and have them both set up in smart iptv, but the order is all borked..... I have to scroll all the way through the first to get to the second. Ideally I'd like to merge the two together into one m3u, rip out the foreign channels I don't care about, and rip out the VOD crap. I guess it needs to be update able if the supplier adds or removes channels.

use your fingers on a keyboard with notepad / your favourite text editor or knock up a python script as I did.

I just use tvheadend for my IPTV which will let you add multiple sources (networks). Side benefit being that you can set priority, have it failover if one goes down; also I can have a single stream on multiple devices but using only one upstream connection. Downside is I had to write a lot of custom code to keep all the channels up to date and sane because tvh doesn't handle IPTV nearly as well as it should - huge upside is I can use ffmpeg to sort out crappyness.
