You may just have the resolution on your T1 set to something that your TV can't handle. Press the resolution button on your remote, wait 5 seconds and see if anything appears. If nothing appears on the screen, repeat. Each time you press the button, it changes the setting and brings up the resolution menu on screen.

I had this happen to me. Start ruling out the other factors in the equation: connect the T1 to another TV; use a different HDMI; etc.
In my case, it turned out to be the HDMI cable.

Suppose it depends how much you use it, i was going to get a dreamlink but decided as iptv is just extra tv for what i already have i would just stick smart-stb on my tv, it works well enough for me and saves me a hdmi port.
But i think if its your main source of viewing you should probably get a box
