Its probably because when you start a recording, the service doing the recording (ffmpeg I think) starts up, then when you go back to playback the player service then starts up, so your provider thinks you're opening two streams and the first one cuts off.

You can test this by setting a timer to record something, then put the box in standby, and check after a while to see if the recording starts up and runs longer than the ten seconds you experienced earlier...if it successfully records for longer, then you know thats the problem.

Different images treat iptv streams differently, theres probably one that deals with iptv recordings better than the one you're using....as in reality the zgemma boxes are pretty cheap and designed for satellite use really, not iptv.

do u have a multiroom sub with ur provider?

Feels like a silly question but I have to ask...Do you have a properly formatted storage device connected to the USB and have it set up properly to record to that storage device?

No. I meant i really don't have any technical ability. I went to settings, found recording settings and set to the hard drive. Testing it out now.

I think it's recorded, i just need to work out how to find it...

I have a multi room sub from my provider and usb is paired correctly to my zgemma box but recording is hit and miss. Sometimes the channel only records for around 20 mins when the programme is set for 60 mins. Any suggestions?
