Vaders vs Reloaded

by J_01

Have been using vaders for a few months. Then it started to become hit & miss. The kodi app doesn't work all the time or work on kodi 18.
SimpleIPTV has been picky about showing accurate guide. The guide via web browser works good though. But your tied down to a computer now.

Installed Reloaded this morning. Easy to install. So far the quality has been great & the 24hr TVCatchup feature is slick. There is about a 60-90min delay to when you can watch a catchup show.

I have it working on my xbox one, laptop kodi, & Libreelec kodi. Each platform works flawlessly.

Price doesn't bother me much. It is a hell of a lot cheaper than $150/month cable/sat service.

Would be nice if the StreamRus was offered with the Reloaded service. I am curious to see how it works & if it has trakt integration.

I am a vaders subscriber and switched to eternal tv. It's on par with vaders picture and channel wise. The bonus is and doesn't go down like vaders and the pricing is great

Just played around with wicked tv. Seems like a basic iptv, no fancy buttons , just kiss. The few tv catch series I click on, they were behind a few episodes.

The xtreme-codes iptv wouldn't load on xbox kodi 18. Not sure if thats a xbox thing or kodi 18 thing. It worked fine on Libreelec.

I don't know Wicked Tv pricing, I would expect the $10 range. The features Reloaded tv offers might be worth the extra few dollars to some. They are definitely convenient.

I actually got Vader working on Leia, but found it to still be buggy overall in terms of video playback. Lot of drops back to guide and such that I wouldn't get using 17.6.

But yeah, Reloaded's built in Mayfair pro guide is better. I like that I can change the channel order around (putting ESPN first, FS1 second, ectt) too, and that it's stayed that way since regardless of the updates. Which I ultimately gave up on in Kodi with Vader since it would just reset daily and I'd have to do it all over each time.

Catchup is definitely way more reliable as well, and unlike Vader keeping it a working state seems to at least be somewhat of a priority for their dev team (which it should be, since it's the main selling point over just buying a cheaper Gears sub instead). Vader did just finally go through and fix some of their catchup channels the other day, but that was the first time it's even got a decent look from their dev team in like 6 months, and without a complete re-implantation to the system they blatantly have little interest in maintaining on the regular that really doesn't amount to much imo. Especially when it goes back down a week or so for now, which it always does, and as any long term regular user of the service can attest to. Like the APK's epg guide...it's ultimately there to be window dressing for the ad pitch.

Only real minor complaints with Reloaded so far is with the interface being a little glitchy enter/exiting the video add-on, and the picture quality on the whole is good but not quite as good as Vader's can be when it's working. Not including the video on demand obviously hurts it's overall value sell as well, and I wouldn't hold your breathe waiting on Gears to allow them to have their own APK either.
