I think you might be able to get the TVPlayer App.
This should give you some (basic) Freeview channels for free.
For IPTV - I believe (but not tested) VaderStreams should have some good quality UK streams.
Thanks very much for that. I’ve tried the TV player app but for some reason they don’t show certain content and when I tried to use it yesterday all 5 of the main freeview channels were showing as currently unavailable. I’ll look into Vader streams but don’t really want to pay a fortune as it’s literally the freeview channels I need.
There's also a DIY solution, I use a RaspberryPi+RTL2832U usb dongle+ TvHeadend with a few cheap Chinese media player boxes to stream free channels to every tv around the house. The usb DVB dongles are very cheap and tvheadend can use more than one tuner so you can watch and record at the same time or watch different channels on multiple tvs at the same time. It also acts as a "cloud" PVR and you can stream through the internet if your bandwidth allows it (please use vpn or ssh tunnel for outside connections). Any device that supports Kodi can connect to a TvHeadend server.
Excellent thanks very much for that.
Thanks I’ll look into it.
Ooooh that sounds interesting. Thanks very much, I’ll do some reading up on that now 😊
Maybe these few BBC channels will help, they are 720p 50FPS directly from iPlayer and not restreamed so there shouldn’t be any buffering or downtime....
Thank you 😊
