When do you guys estimate IPTV will move to H.265 for live channels and not just VOD? Most devices in the past couple of years support it now.

No IPTV providers are slowly changing over to 265. I would think this will only pick up speed as people see the bandwidth saved.
IPTV on the MAG250 works on 2.4mb some streams work on less then 1mb if your getting buffering its not H.264 as the fault .. the money in IPTV is over 60s OAPs living outside the UK ...fixed income paying each month ,they watch eastenders etc ...all the noise on these forums comes from people sitting in their mothers basement in their boxers ... STOP PRESS ... https://twitter.com/iptvsubs got to laugh ´´were going to the moon HEVC ´´ two posts back ´Yes, our site was been down for the past few days´ ´In the case of IPTV services, best practice is to have multiple subscriptions (from various providers). In the IPTV sphere, nothing is guaranteed. Channels and entire services go down all the time. This will always be the case´´ THEY SOUND TOTAL COWBOYS ...gold bathtaps when the bogs backed up ...
OK2/IPTVSubs are in the process or may have already switched over to h265. It is the only provider I know that has done it.
IPTVSubs (what I'm using) is currently testing H.265 on a few channels. I believe I've noticed it, as from the start I've always used a MAG 256. https://twitter.com/iptvsubs/status/981319958822113280
90% of UK IPTV viewing is BBC/ITV in SD most want eastenders on the costas ...
My TV supports HEVC (x265), most newer SmartTV's do. Since I don't have a box, SmartSTB runs on my TV I don't have to worry about it.
Also IPTV Express's portal has changed from their regular IPTV Express logo to a big 4K logo.
What is Netflix, Hulu and Amazon video using for their 4k HDR content? Because that's my new expectation as far as minimum service quality. It's better than any cable or satellite paid service and certainly better than any IPTV service I have used. Worth every penny.
One provider actually just made the switch to 100% HEVC. As for most devices, you do have to remember the #1 device still in use is a MAG 254. Only within the last 2 years has hardware HEVC adoption for IPTV been in effect, and mostly it's for Android devices using emulators. The newer MAG boxes do support it, but the fact of the matter is, just because your xbox one can use Kodi, doesn't mean you should fucking use it for IPTV.
We need something to take the market away from the ease of use of a MAG with the features of a Dreamlink. And we also need morons to stop insisting that just because they can install kodi and use it on their device, that it's a perfect device to use for IPTV.
