Wrestlemania / UFC PPV - How did your IPTV fair?

by ebonyr

Well as the title says, I would like to know how your IPTV worked out for you on these PPV's.

I was using Reloaded IPTV which had 2 channels dedicated to each PPV. One in 720 and 1080. I mostly used the 720 for both PPV's.

Wrestlemania was great for about the first 2 hours then started to get pixelated (some freezing). I backed out of that stream and reconnected with a great picture.

During the UFC PPV. No issues with Reloaded IPTV

Just to be transparent: I'm not a reseller of any IPTV service, just an IPTV power user :-)

I bought a 48hr pass for Fab due to the UFC fight on sat. Since the sub was still valid on sunday, I used it to also watch Wrestlemania.

Both events played in 1080p without any issue.. Not bad for $3 Usd.

Edit. I used Fab's service via their VLC player extension, and not through Kodi

Fab - watched both UFC and WWE. First big event with them.

I was buffering a bit on BT 2 then realized in there sports corner they had like 6 other streams. 1080p at 50fps zero buffer on that channel for UFC.

WWE was perfect the entire time.

Was very surprised

I made it a point to test Reloaded on both, and was pleasantly surprised that each played flawlessly. Not a single buffer on either, and only one drop all night with Wrestlemania that was easily remedied by simply clicking back in. I only tested the 1080 link on each btw.

I have run into that issue in the past where stuff will start stuttering, but seems instantly fixed by backing in and out of a channel. Although I've seen it a lot less after I customized my Kodi settings beyond what their auto configuration sets up. Don't fully understand why it happens, but it's nice to see some confirmation that it isn't just a "me" thing lol.

Vaders was solid for both.

Titan and Vader's were running smooth

teedubyeah

Vaders was great for UFC didn't watch Wrestling

GreatWhiteNorth81

Used Vaders and watched both.

Watched the entire UFC event in 720p with one buffer that lasted about three seconds.

Watched the entire 5+ hour WWE event on the 1080p channel and I don't recall having a single issue.

Watched on my BuzzTV XPL3000 device, using the latest version Perfect Player. Device was hardwired with 100mbps internet connection.

on your iptv .. sometimes you get 3 of the same channels ..

i.e. arabic wwe , osn box office , sky sports box office , usa wwe

I watched wrestlemania and had to switch around 5 times over the whole ppv.

ufc ppv is on :

Btsports 2 , fox sports 1 ,ufc pass

sometimes your isp could be the cause and throttling it so rebooting modem can help.

also using a direct network cable can help .. wifi sux

server location can also be a issue .. too many people watching the same channel ..

Cheap advert, eh? IPTV power user, what is that? Don't tell me you can watch IPTV on phone, too???? omg!! :))

I used UKTV. It was ok. It buffered about 3 times but had other sources on WWE Network

Crowntv for ufc on my wired t2 dreamlink. Was on 2 channels. The sound sync was off on the hd720p stream. Had about 4-5 freezes. Also the frame rate went wonky during majority of it.

Watched a bit of wrestlemaina next day. Was bit better than ufc stream. Quality looked below 720p.

Overall I wasn’t too pleased.

I also have same service crowntv on my wired nvidia shield. The streams were much worse using stmb.

I will prob subscribe to a more premium steady iptv hd feed soon.

chefrobbo65

The Players Klub worked fine all night for both events

Eternal $8 a month 3 lines did pretty well. I only watched ufc. They had like 7 HD channels up. If one buffered just went to the next one. Buffers were pretty rare though for me.

Gizquier2

Epicstream and gearstv, by far N1 and N2 in the market right now.

The quality is good and the gears epg is amazing.

Epic on the other hand lately had issues with servers But reliable again.

Florida Comcast 100 Mbps, have to use IPvanish or im disconnected every minute.

I have had both for more than 6 months

UFC 1080p, streamed smooth, just buff once, but hey, if you can not handle it for 15usd month just go back to DirectTV..
