SETtv facing lawsuit regarding VOD content

by yerdunclelarry

As you may know SETtv is being sued for copyright. Not sure how it will pan out. To be safe alot of providers have decided to remove the VOD section. There is nothing you can do but wait it out. There are numerous FREE apps will work well for VOD if you do your research.

Or just join a Plex or emby server and actually watch VOD in a decent way rather than on a 900 page list which is a pain to search. You can resume from where you left off and it's easy to keep track of what you are watching.

Personally I'd rather have a provider who doesn't have VOD it's cluttered and I've never seen it implemented as good as Plex.

  1. Familiarize yourself with Kodi.

  2. Add the /r/Addons4Kodi/ bookmark to your daily reading, and pick one of the more popular add-ons.

  3. Buy a $4/mo Real Debrid account.

  4. Stop caring about IPTV VOD.

One of my providers removed VOD a while back saying people were starting to get in trouble for it but this is the first time seeing anything else in it. Is there a link or anything related to this?

Just out of curiosity, how are providers getting busted for VOD but not the hundreds of Channels they are streaming?I assume it's the big movie companies behind it but just a guess.

Anyone know which IPTV providers will be affected by this?

SET needs to drop the VOD content and just run the IPTV service with the channel lineup it has and focus on re-enforcing the channel streams currently offered. Example, BUZZR channel has not worked in months.
