Canadian 3rd party ISPs for IPTV

by Biggerthanfun

I've had terrible buffering with IPTV constantly buffering until I recently realized how shitty my 75mbs Lightspeed service is. In peak hours, it drops to as low as ~1mbps.

I'm about to return to Shaw but before I give double the price to one of the monopolies, I wanted to check to see if any Canadians here use Tekksavvy, Surf Internet, or any of the other 3rd party ISPs for IPTV.

I had a similar issue with Vmedia. Went back to Cogeco, got them to give me a deal to match the price, and I’ve never had another issue with my internet. My deal expires in September so I’ll call and threaten to leave and see if that gets them to extend the deal. If not, I’ll pay the extra $20/mth because I won’t risk it again.

Have you tried Acanac? I have not noticed any trotting with my service

Damn, they don't offer Cogeco or Acanac in BC.

Teksavvy DSL (bell) is very stable, no reduction in speeds and no buffering. Iptv works great even on my 15/10 plan
