Per the sticky, services like SlingTV, YouTube TV, Hulu TV etc aren't considered IPTV. I thought IPTV was just live TV channels delivered over the internet(which those services provide)
How are those services not 'IPTV'? Can someone help clear the confusion.
Of course they are IPTV. As you said, IPTV is any service that uses IP to deliver TV content. They are not considered IPTV for the purpose of this sub-reddit because they are legal services and have their own support staff. This sub primarily is for illegal IPTV services which are cheap compared to the legal ones. Because illegal IPTV services are basically small underground groups, they have very little customer support if any thus requiring people to create a place where to ask questions and get help from other customers thus this sub. The reason people choose illegal IPTV services besides how cheap they are, is the amount of content you get. You usually get sports packages like NFL ticket, MLB, NBA, EPL and all sorts of PPV along with the bulk of US, Canada and all sorts of foreign language TV packages are all included in their price which runs around $10-20 per month. Trying getting that from a legal IPTV provider.
