Hello.
I'm leaving outside my home country and one thing that I'm considering is to be able to see my home country channels via IPTV.
My tv is an old Panasonic (p42g30e) and as far as I searched, it doesn't supports IPTV.
I have an iphone, a chromecast and an old RaspberryPi (MODEL B, 512MB).
So, at this point, I have two questions!
- 1 - Would IPTV work over wireless? or does it need cable? (I have a 52mb connection)
- 2 - (without buying additional hardware) If it requires a cable, I would have to use the Raspberry Pi. Has anyone tried this already? If it works with wireless, I would have to get an app for iOS with chromecast support.
Honestly, this doesn't seem very achievable or easy from my end... but I would like to know your opinion on this.
Any helpful information is most appreciated.
Thank you
Use your pi, install kodi and grab whatever you want for a service that supports kodi. Don't fuck with iphone shit, or chromecast. These are more headaches than what they are worth, especially with the recent changes to xserver backend. Most IPTV is bitstarved to shit, so 3-5 megabits is all you will really need.
