I’m only really interested in points 1 and 2
They have £255,472.00 in the bank
They had 15768 subscribers
all i am understanding is that best way to go about iptv is to get monthly or at most 2-3 month plans!
They can't go after subscribers, paying Ace £10 is not illegal. Watching EPL might be illegal but how would they ever be able to prove someone did that? They can't.
From reading the docs, it appears our information will be passed to authorities. Not sure what that means but could we expect fines or worse?
I didn’t get this email, I had 8 months left on my subscription when it got cancelled. What to do?
It's bullshit they've closed down done a runner end of I wouldn't read to much into that nosense idol threats because ppl not happy what they've done
I got this email today too, realistically as a user not a reseller, do i need to be concerned about my details being passed over to the EPL? I only watched about 20 minutes of football this season due to work 🤔
Another good reason to accept cryptocurrencies
What is in the letter that is downloaded?
In my opinion for UK users of this service it could go one of two ways.
Best case scenario is people who have used PayPal as payment will get a letter or email saying " blah blah blah, this service provider was not an official broadcaster of the EPL and was closed for providing illegal streams which you may not of been aware of at the time of joining them. Blah blah blah " followed by emails or letters saying come and join Sky or VM
Worst case scenario if UK users used PayPal and say are using Sky or VM for their internet or other services they could decide to put that persons name and address on a blacklist from getting anything from them in the future. That type of action usually only happens to people who don't pay the bills with Sky/Vm or in the the past had dodgy card sharing boxes and got busted.
It would be nothing for these service providers to look through a list of Ace users, to see if their PayPal email address is from @sky or @VM etc. As if people can get black listed for not paying then in theory you could have the same could be done for accessing an illegal service using their network.
It would make a nice headline, Sky ban 3,000 users who were using their internet to watch EPL and Sky. They have 10 million subscribers so it's nothing to ban a few thousand
This is why as stated above by another user, pay with bitcoin.
When it comes to IPTV the big broadcasters rarely come for the small guys its always the ones who are profiting from it greatly. What makes more financial sense going after 15k users with fake names which then sends you on a wild goose chase. or just make sure the head is cut off
My comment will be not popular since this will be very uncomfortable to most of you. Most of you being either customers, resellers, or providers who are reading this subreddit. So you are very interested in how his ACE liquidation plays.
Let me lay this out all for you.
Your data as an ACE customer, reseller or provider will be given to EPL. The liquidation company has no responsibility to you and they must follow the law. Why would they risk their business to protect you. If EPL, Sky, BT, DirectTV, Dish, or any content provider wants the data, they will get this data from the liquidator. I have no doubts about it.
This is bad for anyone involved with ACE (Clearly it is not good)
Owners
The owner of ACE will likely get fines (100,000 and higher) and most likely face years of jail time.
This will be handle in both criminal and civil courts. Criminal for copyright violations. Civil for monetary damages. Multiple angles to go after owners (unreported taxes HMRC, VOD violations, illlegal streams)
Resellers
Resellers will likely get fines (10,000 and higher and could possible be jailed. Sorry but you will be group with box sellers. The problem with box sellers is not the box they are selling but they streams on the boxes.

This will be handle in both ciminal and civil court
Direct and reseller customers
(If resellers become government witness for lighter sentence, reseller customers now affected) will likely get fines or demand letters of compensation (1,000 and higher). Sure some of you may reason that there is 15000+ people for EPL to go after.... Well guess what.. EPL is not going to do it but will get an agent to do it for you. Look at Nagrastar and Dishnetwork in the US http://satscams.com/ . End users pirates do get targeted... This will be handled in civil court since it is much easier for the providers to win. You need to only prove preponderance of evidence in civil court instead of beyond reason doubt in criminal court.
Sorry and good luck to all.
Yeah was thinking the same. But it could be just the start of it. Hopefully not.
ASSETS - CASH IN BANK 255,000
CREDITORS - HMRC (VAT + CORP TAX) 260,000 TRADE 104.000 (FOOTBALL ASSOC.) PUBLIC 352,000
TOTAL DEBT 461,000
chance of getting anything back = zero
If you are a customer or a reseller with 1 other person like me. I would ignore the email and go on with your life. There's no way they will be going after individual customers. As a post below said, large resellers would be another story. Also, they would have to prove you used the service and I can't see then going after customers internationally
Pirate IPTV service Ace Hosting has shut down and gone into liquidation after agreeing to pay the Premier League a copyright settlement of £100,000. With unpaid VAT and corporation tax bills running to £260,000 also unpaid, Ace subscribers and resellers, who are owed around £353,000, are set to have their details made public and could even be handed to the authorities.

This is why I refuse to provide my real name, address or paypal info for IPTV. I have a very strong stance on bitcoin or no deal. I don't want my information out there or handed to authorities for something not 100% legal. It's just not worth it so I just don't put it out there.. It's good to be a little bit paranoid when it comes to security
