Magbox 256 'no signal' issues

by fent11

I've had my 256 for a few months now and it's been going really well.

However, when I turned on my box tonight it's started to play up.

I get the infomir screen, then the next step is the 'loading connections' etc screen - then the signal cuts out as if someone has removed the HDMI .

I have swapped the HDMI cable and the same thing occurs.

So i restarted the box and held down the menu button to gain access to the blue screen. From here i've chosen 'default settings ' which i believe resests to factory settings... But no luck,

So I then changed the TV settings and Graphic Res to a variety of different options before restarting, and none of the combos have made any differece,... the boot mode was then changed from Nand1 to Nand2, restarted and no luck... at restart the box goes past the infomir splash page and continues to the "starting network interfaces" message before it then drops out to "no signal".

Any help would be greatly appreciated

no signal is generated from your TV ...it seems you have changed your box settings to something your TV cant pick up ...

Did you plug anything new into the other HDMI ports on your TV like a Chromecast?

It happened to me last week and it was caused by the new Chromecast I bought. Once I took it out, my MAG 256 worked again.

Anybody have any ideas?

Given HDMI is the only means of connection, my MAG looks like an £85 brick, unfortunatly.
