Scare progaganda. How do they know who watched what on ace?

No worries for users, no one gives a toss for user details, for FA important ACE is shut (sic). Card infos are safe with PayPal/Stripe and will not be given to anyone as no criminal fraud has been committed by users/purchasers.

Looking back now and you have to ask - how stupid were ACE...?

Idiots.

In one corner...The Premier League crying foul and demanding compensation

In the other corner.. Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs who don't care where the money came from as long as they get their cut.

Does anybody remember IKS and nfusion, the resellers that got busted gave over all the information and DISH Network proceded to file federal lawsuits on people in the US that used the service, this is what I'm reminded of right now. Dish used emails, IP's and other information to track down people with lawsuits up to 100,000 USD. Most of them I think ended with default judgements of 10k.

Dish didn't care if you watched or not, they cared that you bought a service that broke/bypassed their encryptions and had the ability to watch. DMCA law in the US says just bypassing their restrictions/encryption is a crime.

I'm not saying that this is going to be the same, but historically the content providers do care and try and hunt down "pirates."
