The Formulerz7 + my tv online is an advantage over m3u as the app is easy to set up. However I do believe m3u playlist might grab more EPG at times.
Really just dependant on your device. The Stalker portals are easier for most to set up and if you have a Mag, Buzz or Dreamlink then thats really the only way to connect...although Dreamlink/Formuler have added XC API and m3u to their portals now.
So to answer your question, there is no advantage in the sense of picture quality or playback, by and large. It really just comes down to preferred device.
Just get a mag line cos it can be used as m3u Also. You have choices then . M3u can't be used on Mac device like magbox handy
I can say 23 or whatever I still love my Formulerz7 + and the MOL xx
I'd prefer the m3u as you stated above.
I tried the mac-address with the STBU app on the phone and if I used it, and even if the Mag box was switched-off, the box would still freeze and I had to take power out and insert back in again.
