Going with MAG256 (I think), looking for advice on setup and purchase

Hey All, I'm new the to IPTV game and I think I have most of the basics down.

I'm most likely going with the MAG256 since I know someone who's been very happy with it but I'm open to opinions on the Dreamlink and Formuler Z7+. One important thing I'm looking for is the ability to record shows/dvr options and I haven't really figured out how to get that feature.

Lastly, where can I get these boxes in the US and make sure they are genuine?? Thank you!

Edit: Also considering just using my AppleTV4k, and thoughts?

Have formuler z7 and dreamlink t2..can record pretty easily. Especially if the providers EPG is good. Also, I like the fact I can do a m3u provider along with a mac provider in mytvonline and dol2.

I use rIPTV on my Apple TV.. much cheaper than buying new hardware.. but there's no option to record on it unfortunately. Get a subscription with catch-up instead and you'll be able to back a couple days and watch

Get a mag if you are going with a Stalker based provider, otherwise if you are using an Xtreme Codes based provider think more carefully about your choice.

please do not buy mag 256. buy a dreamlink t2 or formuler z7+, both will record on any provider. if you are on budget try a dreamlink t1.

mag boxes do not record. all options on mag boxes are controlled by provider, even recording, if they allow it.

you will thank me later, get one of these two and then compare with your friend. lol. they will buy one too!
