I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but hopefully it is. My IPTV over FTTH provider upgraded all our STBs to Huawei EC6108V9 about a year ago and they claim it offers true 4K and first in region yada yada yada. The thing is when connected to my TV my TV says the output is 1080p only. My TV is a Sony Android TV with 4K HDR support. I have no issue getting 4K signal out of my Xbox One X, or PS4 Pro console even on the same HDMI port.

They are offering a few 4K channels and soon they will be offering World Cup in 4K too but is it really 4K if my TV states the output is 4K only? The Huawei site claims the STB offers 4K too but idk if that is true.
