Best IPTV Player for Android?

by ostropolos

Hey people, I'm wondering what your favorite way to play m3u playlists on Android is. I got a trial with a provider that has 23k channels and trying to find what I want in there is a bit of an issue...

More specifically, I'm looking for a way to hide channels in groups separated by hashtags (I.E: ####### Albania ######). As I don't speak Albanian, you could probably understand why I need to hide that group.

Any tips or tricks?

Perfect player. It allows groups to be hidden. Nice looking guide as well. Usually we just use the APK for the provider but when we use a player is pp.

On a box : perfect player or gse IPTV are great

On a phone : iptv pro with mxplayer works well

IPTVTek

If you're provider uses xtreme codes, Id go with iptv smarters. You can download directly from the play store.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I found that the issue was me downloading the regular M3U file and not the M3U Plus file. I'm a newbie in IPTV, bare with me. Thanks for all your suggestions, you've all been great help, I appreciate it.

Use GSE Player playlist editor to modify playlist.

It is likely because the playlist itself is not organized in groups. You will have to manually add tags into playlist to group it. You can use TextCrawler (windows) to search and insert multiple tags before and after specific text field. I am not sure, but Perfect Player might automate the process of editing. You’re provider should have organized for you and if you have 23k channels i am almost certain your playlist if half broken.

I use IPTV extreme. With chromecast I first tried VLC, but the cast icon didn't pop up as it should. So I downloaded bubbleupnp and bought the license for it.

In IPTV extreme settings, you can choose to use external player. Just choose VLC or bubbleupnp from there.
