Looking for advice on whether to buy Mag256/410 or Buzz xpl 3000

by Draco51

Hey guys, I'm really new to the IPTV scene and I was looking for a box to buy I'm on a budget at a max $150 CAD and have noticed the Buzz XPL 3000 as a good budgeted box to buy. However, everyone seems to recommend Mag to me as they claim there's not much lag or UI issues on it. (I also have a preference for Kodi which I know Mag isn't capable of installing but if it is leaps and bounds better than Buzz, I'm willing to give up Kodi)

My current box stutters a lot it's an old Avov, I don't remember the model number but it's a couple years old atleast. I would just like to avoid any form of stuttering if possible. With that being said would you guys recommend the Mag 410/256 or the Buzz xpl 3000?

Thank you very much for your time!

Stuttering has more to do with stream quality and what service you sub to. All of those boxes work fine. In fact Kodi works fine for streaming too if you have a good provider.

IPTVGOD

I would pay abit more and go with a z7+. Ive had the buzztv 3000 and it recording didnt work well and it didnt really update. Purchased a z7+ and thr built in epg was alot better (after thr latest updates) recording works better and gets updated ALL THE TIME.

Get a formuler z7+

You can get the Mag if you're happy with the Mag interface, or why not get a Forumla Z7+? It's available on Amazon, in your price range, will let you use Kodi..shudder..and you will have PVR capabilities, something apparently wives and parents don't fucking understand that this type of service doesn't fucking have. So you need to buy a box with software that does it for you :) If you're married, or have in-laws living with you..save yourself the future hassle.

I'm new to IPTV and bought the XPL3000 recently. I think its fantastic and find the EPG great, and recording to an external HDD is straightforward. I'm very happy with my purchase. I find I'm using it alot and other the Android apps loaded onto it - eg Terrarium TV and Kodi for media already on my home network.

But a service that lets you use multiple m3u playlists then buy any cheap android box and install perfect player or ProgTV

Would you be willing to spend a tad more and buy an older or used Nvidia Shield? You could run STB emu or PP and still have all the Kodi stuff. Good processor too. I had to cave and get one because I’m running low on hdmi ports (also too confusing for the lady with all the boxes)

Got a Mag 254 and extremely pleased. Best device on the market.
