VPN issues with some IPTV providers...

by halo4eva

Recently I started testing some IPTV providers. Since that I am new to all this, I thought it is better to sign up for 1 month and test the service before committing to longer subscriptions...I also prefer to use VPN not just to hide my activities from my ISP, but also for the other positive features of any VPN.

The issue here is that both my monthly subscriptions with Global Entertainment ( http://glsh.org.uk/ ) and Helix hosting ( https://helixhosting.ninja/ ) do not work properly with my VPN enabled. I can get the channels list, but when I click on a channel I get a message saying "Cannot opn url". Upon disabling the VPN, they work flawlessly, I also tested IPTVisEASY ( https://www.iptviseasy.eu/ ), it was a trial account, and it was the same experience...I have to mention that I am using the GSE player...I also tested another player and it suffered from the same problem...

The strange thing is that at the same time I've had a trial account with ExcursionTV ( https://www.excursion-tv.com/ ), and they work flawlessly with my VPN enabled (Great service by the way, I might subscribe).

The aforementioned 3 services are brilliant (No buffering), and they offer many choices, and I would like to stick with them but the VPN issue is a problematic for me....Can you guys advise me about the best way to use those services with my VPN enabled?

Thnx

*UPDATE*

Helix enabled VPN for my account, and now it is working w/o issues...

Some providers don't allow vpn by defakt but do on request

Yeah, just have to either make sure your IPTV provider allows VPN in the beginning (because some just do not allow it no matter what) and if they do you just have to ask for them to enable it. Just last night I tried my IPTV on a tablet and apparently the VPN they allowed on this particular provider was set for the MAG only, they had to enable it somewhere else so I could use VPN on the m3u. Simple 3 minutes quick fix.

If an IPTV service don’t allow vpn usage then avoid like the plague. It always sets alarm bells ringing for me that does. As mentioned above, any self respecting, decent IPTV service allows it.

For me, the way to tell a decent service are those with a Kodi addon (not having to use IPTV simple client with an m3u), and allow a vpn. I use this as a simple rule.

Also, any service that says “you don’t need a vpn” sets alarm bells ringing too. People use vpn for a reason. To tell you not to use one as you don’t need one is naive at best.

I tried https://www.excursion-tv.com and i will have 2 say i loved it.No buffering and a great app.I did a 24 hour trial.I have gears right now but i have been thinking about switching out.I wish they had a longer trial so i could get a better feel for it i am home on vacation right now.But what i did see is how good the service is one of the best out there.
