your TV is only 720p. It has a resolution of 1280 x 720. The HDMI inputs can take a source up to 1080p. (1920*1080). But it can only display 720 lines of resolution.

It says 1080p because it's the output settings from buzztv(you can change it in settings) in this case your TV is downscaling what is receiving to it's native resolution.
