Best iptv service to use for australian users

by jmnsw

Hi guys,

I have been trialing a number of iptv services for a couple of months and found I get a load of buffering issues. I am located in Australia and use a dreamlink t1plus box which is great. I also have a 100mb connect but usually get 68mb speed.

Does anyone know a decent iptv service that have servers in Australia which may solve the buffering issues I am having?

I watch mostly sports and movies. Nfl / nba / motogp / supercars / motorsport / rugby league are my main priorities.

I used to use Ace which was by far the best for content and had only minor buffering issues.

Regards,

Josh

Most of these comments are bullshit ;)

Take it from another Australian. Wifi or not it's only going to add another 5ms - 10ms at most on average.

There are no IPTV servers that I know of that have datacenters in Australia. It's just to expensive to restream from Australia as bandwidth is not unlimited. Most IPTV is hosted in the US or Europe.

I would first try picking any IPTV provider you like.. get some trials and have a play but use "HLS" as the output instead of "TS". Google it to find out more, but pretty much HLS downloads segments and TS is a constant stream, any delay with your connection and it will glitch or stop straight away if you use TS.

To do that you change your playlst file to read someone like this "format=m3u8" or "format=hls instead" of "formart=ts" if that improves good, but if you run your own HLS proxy from http://www.hls-proxy.com/ you will find it easily able to stream 5 different channels without buffering problems. Only limited to the number of connections your provider allows. The good thing about the proxy it can pre-fetch the segments. Channel changing is slower, but it doesn't buffer. I know which I would prefer.

If you need help, just head over to the telegram channel and I'll see if I can help out.

I personally use Vaders and Torrent-TV.ru, but I wouldn't say vaders is great as most channels are only 720P. I'm not really a sports person so I'm looking around for higher resolution and bitrate channels as we speak.

I don’t know about australia, but for example, I live in Brazil, which is also far from the servers and EpicStream works flawlessly for me, no buffering. I’d also advise you to connect through Ethernet if you don’t already, because it’s so much steadier than WiFi. Even though EpicStream has a steady stream, when I used to be on WiFi it would stutter all the time. All I had to do is switch to Ethernet for it to work perfectly.

I've been impressed by these guys. They're new to the scene, but seem to be doing some things other groups don't. The UHD vod are cool.

I would just keep trialing providers. You won't know whats good unless you try it! Check out Vader Streams if you are interested. My Australian customers don't usually complain about buffering.

Have you tried upping the buffering time on your end. It will make you further back, but IDK of any iptvs based out of Australia. It will hopefully allow you to catch up before the buffer is up.
