Ive been trying out numerous 'providers' Fab, Vaders, Epicstreams etc.. I understand they offer different servers/reliability/quality streams. What I dont understand is that there are resellers of a particular provider.
- Say EpicStreams, there are for example 5 resellers. Do these resellers of EpicStream have any input into the quality and stability of their service or is it out of their hands and if theres any issues, it all comes back to the EpicStream server. Reason Im asking, is that I am with one EpicStream reseller, and sometimes the channel I watch is unstable. Would it make a difference if I go to another EpicStream reseller or just go to a different service provider?
- Is there any benefit for using Stalker App over a m3u8 playlist file? Im using AppleTv, and there are apps that cater to both options. Is one more likely to be a better experience in terms of stability or is it just preference for user interface?
Thanks!!
Some resellers of various services might have a direct line to the service provider in order to get things fixed when they go wrong, but in many cases, a reseller is just like a retail store...they buy the product, usually in bulk quantities to make it worth it for the provider, and then sell it to you for a profit, they don't make or have input into the product they are selling.
I've never used an Apple TV, so I don't know which way will work better for you. Typically its about UI more than stream quality, though. That said, m3u typically gives you a bit more control over the channel list and you can even change the stream from TS to HLS, which can impact stability with some providers.
Good luck
