How to best show different channels on 3-4 different TVs?

by yurtyahearn

I'm setting up a "sports-cave" in my house, and I want to have a fes screens displaying different matches when they're on.

I'm considering putting a fire-stick in each TV, but the WiFi dropping signal might be an issue.

Is there a way to set up a system where I can control the 4 screens from one device? Would I need a PC with a few HDMI outputs? I'm not sure how the sound would work in that case.

There's a pub near where I live which seems to use a tablet running Kodi or something similar which can then control various TVs, but I'm not sure if that's PC based or how it works.

Any ideas?

I don't know anything about Fire Sticks but with my Rokus I have them connected to a router that connects to my VPN. Now, with a tablet connected to that same router I can then cast (more like just send the Roku the link) whatever channel I want. Ofcourse you have to have an IPTV service that allows multi connection as with my method the caster (TVCast) is using one IPTV playlist and from that app I can pick whatever Roku I want to cast to.

Edit: Just to be clear, the TVCast app does support multiple playlists, I'm only explaining the way I use it.

I would usually suggest chromecasts but theyre just crap at handling the filetypes that IPTV uses for most of their streams. I think you'll run into too much trouble with that.

A PC is probably the way forward but not an expert. Maybe you should try the /r/cordcutters subreddit or /r/hometheater or something? I think they'll have more expertise in getting this kind of set up working.

Also - this idea sounds rad, something i've always wanted to do. Hope you get it set up!

With VaderStreams we have the ability to have up to 5 devices running on 1 sub. Let me know if that interstes you. I have great prices ans can get you setup in no time.
