technical question on picture quality on different providers

by Wokmeister

I have been wondering for a while whether providers re-encode the streams themselves or simply forward on the streams from their suppliers.

Basically I am trying to figure out for example if 2 providers both had Globe streams, would those 2 providers both be providing the exact same picture quality on those channels, and therefore also use the exact same bandwidth, or do they usually re-encode themselves, meaning 2 providers can have very different picture quality even if its the exact same source (i.e. the same Globe channel) because one might compress it more than the other?

Can only comment on my vaders reseller, but the video content comes direct from the source. I can even change my auth details a little bit and use vaders apk and site directly.

I think they only restream sources maybe wrong but work /hardware involved if they alter streams

Using rapid iptv, italian sky channels have a waterlogo ZSat i think and the same source is on other iptv providers, same quality with same logo, so rapid just restream them, but every provider has some kind of exclusive content , if the original source change resolution, the bitrate that is another story
