BT blocking IPTV services

fellow IPTV member!

Been using Fab for a few months but sadly seeing it go.

Switched to 2 different providers and both have been having issues since EPL started.

I believe the issue is BT are blocking all the traffic
Few members with Sky, Plusnet, etc have had theses issues to.

Using NordVPN gets around the issue.
Same with Helix, been down all day then used a VPN and started working.

Turn off VPN and both iptv streams go dead.

NordVPN is my preferred choice but i'm using a MAG so have to run IPSEC at router level. Used a Draytek2860n but lose too much Mb speed from 79Mb to 45-50Mb :(

Ordered a LinksysWRT3200ACM - will flash and use OPENVPN and check it out - segment my network so only certain wifi devices and MAG uses VPN network.

What other providers are people using who had these issues today?

If we have to use VPN to watch IPTV then so be it but one that doesn't lose drastic speed!!!

Pretty sure FAB dissolved and rebranded as BFAhosting and are reseller only.

Regardless, my router I have a Merlin build in and use openvpn and my speed decrease is even more than you. 45-50mbps for IPTV should not be an issue at all though..

Set up your own using a droplet from digitalocean or vultr and you won't lose speed. Vultr's london server would be perfect since you're in the UK.

Costs me $5/month to run. Pay for 240 down on Virgin Ireland and get around 220 on VPN.

Yeah I signed up for an iptv service on Friday, it was fine until the footy started and then went to shit completely.

How do i setup a good cheap vpn now lol.

Why do you use a IPTV service on a MAG that requires a VPN ??

IPTV on a MAG is a CLOSED PRIVATE SYSTEM from end to end using UDP ,so not even any URLs ????

I found a guy on here £40 for a year, perfect not one buffer and i dont use a vpn

Global Entertainment have been fantastic all weekend for those looking for a provider. Didn't have a single issue with the footy and covered all 3pm games. Long may it continue!
