Does the box matters?

by java2412

Hi all,

I'm using an apple TV and experience lag some nights. Is it linked to the apple TV or the provider? Would it be smoother had I used and android box?

Are you connected via wired lan cable or wireless? I prefer wired lan. It sounds like it is your provider. If you have a m3u link, test with your computer or phone. Also test with other providers. Apple TV should be fine if you're ok with the layout of whatever app you're using. That also is peak time so maybe a lot of your neighbors are using the same ISP. It's best to have multiple providers so if one lags, you switch to the next.

Hi mate apple tv is great and smoother than nvidia shield. I have both .. but iptv streams are not great on apple tv. I tried all well know iptv apps on apple tv and picture quality is suffering from bad deinterlace , fuzzy picture on fast moving scenes like football and that is a big NO for me . On my samsung tv using smart iptv is fantastic quality and perfect upscaling . On nvidia while iptv streams are great and not suyfeeing from problems i have on apple tv , colours seems washed and nvidia upscaling is not great. Gave up on extermal boxes . If you have smart tv use smart iptv app native thats the best

Hey,

I've not heard of this myself and I've got one or two folks using Apple TV but using the GSE app and no mentions of lag or freezing. I actually like this app on my phone (although it's Android) so I can Chromecast from it. Maybe give that a go?
