Why would you go with 2 years in advance? Providers can go down in an instant
3 months max, and have a back up provider too......
With the provider I'm currently using, I took out a 12 month sub as It was a good deal. It was a risk as I'm one to usually go for 3 months at a time.
But 5 months in it's all good,
What I would say is, if your willing to take out a long subscription. See how transparent your provider is when you have issues, and base your experience on how he responds when the service is not meeting your expectation. At least from this you can gauge where his priorities are. eg. Does he care about your experience with his service or is he all about the money?

I wouldn't sell you a 2 year subscription I have a conscience lol but we have all the S|ky Sports, BT, 3 Prem kos, UFC, Boxing, Wrestling PPV, sports is probably our strongest aspect :) happy to give you a trial and full program list if you fancy a look?

I've been doing this for about 18 months now and have tried a couple dozen different providers. Only once have I ever signed up for a year and that was for less than I usually pay for a 3 month sub. That year was set to expire in February of 2019 and the service is now dead.
Twice I have taken 6 month subs...ACE and FAB. ACE went down after less than 30 days and FAB has announced they are done although I have my doubts and its still working.
This is IPTV. A year is FAR too long to realistically expect to get from a service, no matter how good their reputation or how long they've been around. TWO YEARS is pure lunacy!
Go month to month until you find one you really like, then never more than 3 months per renewal.
