Youtube (Dailymotion, Vimeo) URLs into m3u list for Kodi IPTV player/TV Guide

by siliconhippy

My Goal:

Take selected YouTube live (and video) TV URLs, then channel logos from a site like freesatview.com, plus maybe epg xml from another site. Put all together in a regular m3u file(s) for use with KODI IPTV Simple Client.

Also 720p is good enough.

Why:

YouTube URLs are certainly legal and avoid not only DMCA issues, but are very stable and free, given official sources streaming.

Combining above other sources makes it an all-in-one free and legal treat.

Issues:

A. Is there a nice (preferably free) m3u builder available for combining URLs, logos and optionally epg data into an m3u file?

A solution in principle is:

http://www.tantrumtv.com/iptv-editor/

It looks nice but it doesn't seem to do channel sorting.

Also I get "unhandled exception" .NET errors (even after updating my Win7 laptop to the latest Microsoft .NET 4.7 web installer) if I try to open the URL or downloaded online IPTV m3u file. But I am able to open files once processed by the Editor.

The online Verify Links ( as group) and Remove Dead Links with channels color coding features are very nice though.

Channel sorting can be done in another editor in favorites.vish:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/vishutv/

But then I lose all my logos !

  1. Can pastebin do above magic?

  2. Can XStream Editor? I have yet to receive email reply from them- will I be able to use one standard subscription to generate their URL for one m3u list to be used to feed multiple Kodi devices?

  3. Any issues with auto refresh?

B. Miscellaneous.

  1. Is there a way to remove default channels from iVue2/Renegade TV Guide (maybe by cleaning up the .in file)?

  2. How do you assign channels and logos to individual URLs added- all those YouTube tuts are bogus, and providers are no help either !

  3. Can you still add m3u list to iVue2? How?

Cheers,

Did you ever get this off the ground? I've been looking for something similar to this, kinda like a PseudoTV alternative.

Don't waste your life on stupid things that corporations invest millions to protect, while you have 0 knowledge of basics. Get a job at an ISP/Telecom/TV broadcaster, learn networking first.
