Is it common for providers to not include tvg-id="xyz" in their m3u?

by industrai

The first provider I chose gave me a m3u without any tvg-id in their stream links, so the epg they provided doesn't link up to anything. I can manually go in and add, but this is a big time waster. Is this common practice with other providers? Would rather pick a provider that does that for me if possible.

...I'm currently on trial #24 and honestly, most fail on providing even a near complete EPG. The best i've found and may be a major reason why it was so popular is FAB. But it wasn't 100% complete either.

...My advice is to trial and find the service(s) you like the best and then put in the work manually to fix it up the best you can. I use Eternal and it's great value but the EPG needs a lot of work and i now have it about 90% complete.

This sub really needs a list of recommended providers.

I have not seen this. Switch to another provider.

I haven't used it but, actually couldn't figure it out in the trial, Xtreme-Editor is supposed to be able to have their own EPG system, isn't it? Well, their FAQ looks like it says you can basically either keep your IPTVs EGP or use Xtreme-Editor's EPG.

...I felt FAB had the most complete (not fully complete though) EPG and they actually used TV Guide for their info. Is the TV Guide info available to us to use to manually fix up an EPG through Xtream editor or other means? IPTV-EPG does not allow manual input of addresses they don't have listed but i believe xtream editor does.

Most of mine are tagged, but not always correctly. I use Xstream Editor to fix this.
