When you say it's limited what do you feel is missing? The only thing I can think of myself is keyboard and I just use the phone app for that, which is rare, but for general navigation it seems to do everything, which I think is great for such a simple and clean remote.
Yeah, not sure what you are hoping for? If you want fully functioning, like a standard cable-box style remote, you won't get it. The FireTV is meant to work with a remote with only a handful of buttons. You could get a universal remote but it won't have much more functionality than the existing remote. The large keyboard remotes with give you mouse and keyboard functions, but that's about their only advantage.
