Does IPTV Extreme Pro recording work for anyone using Vaders?

Hey guys,

I believe recording worked for me on Vaders when I first tried it using IPTV Extreme Pro. Now it just quits trying after the maximum number of retries. No error, just does not record.

BTW I'm trying to record to the default path, not a SD card. Although I did try recording to an external Micro SD card as well and it does the same thing.

Is recording working for anyone using Vaders?

At least it seems to work in ProgTV with Vaders. I found ProgTV not to record some stuff that is scheduled sometimes though even though I leave the app open.

Im using Emby to set up recordings through Vader.

I only use it to record sporting events I will have to miss at that point, but it has worked flawlessly for me the past 3 weeks.

In my experience/testing both IPTV Extreme Pro and Prog TV are pretty hit and miss as far as reliable recording goes. Which is an issue that actually tends to be amplified since outside the hypothetical paper theory appeal...the actual amount of content out there that you can't find a replay of simply enough through a free apk/addon is rather selective. So when it does fail for me, which has been a majority of the time I target something that sees a high amount of traffic like a UFC PPV (the slightest amount of buffering seems to cause havoc within the core recording process), it's basically left a taste in my mouth of the feature being fairly worthless. Which in turn highlights those program's already fairly lacking UI appeal (Extreme Pro not having a decent surfing EPG, and Prog just feeling clunky as all hell when it comes to navigating around it).

Vader, who sees more backend issues then any provider you'll see routinely mentioned on this forum, was especially unreliable in my recording tests as well fwiw.

Vader’s has playback for most channels . Why record?

Yes I use in my Android box.. but I have to go the folder the recorded file is in and click on it and play with IPTV extreme player and it will play. Won't play within IPTV fir some reason

I'm still working with it. It's funny. I have to go outside IPTV extreme to use IPTV extreme to play the file I recorded with IPTV extreme .. lol
