Pricing? Some resellers offer same service or different packages of services at a discounted rate.
As u/Blue-Thunder said, the primary benefit to buying from a reseller is customer service. Most services don't really want to deal with customers directly. In fact, there are very few services that offer themselves direct...most deal only with resellers. Many people think they are buying direct because the website has the name of the service in it or something, but its usually just a reseller.
There is also no disadvantage to buying from a reseller. The service is identical. You won't get any more or any less buffering or conection issues from a reseller than direct. So, my advice, like his, is to let it be known what you are looking for and take some trials from the plethora of people that offer them to you!

Not unless you need hand holding and are a complete moron and need to constantly complain about the channels being down.
Real answer, if you're competent, no. If you're not, a good reseller can give you fantastic support to a point, until you become too needy and they tell you to fuck off. In regards to streams going down, and uptime, a reseller will have the same answers as the provider, just not as quickly.
Always have at least 2 providers, just in case 1 goes down.
