Decision on what backup services to use

by Hoyer_Lift

Today I saw that both of my services were down simultaneously. Onlinehostingworld and Helix. That leads me to believe they are resellers that use the same provider. They also have the exact same web page layout, I mean precisely the same. Onlinehostingworld is cheaper btw. I am questioning why I am using both of these services if they will both go down at the same time. I need a way to know who uses different providers, so my two services won’t be down at the same time.

Helix and Steadfast (Onlinehosting world) use the same servers. If you ask them, they will say they are different services, but you are using two of the same service basically. You should grab a different backup.

I use TNT and Helix and have to switch between them at least a dozen times during a normal evening viewing as neither are 100% reliable, with missing channels, buffering, no audio or complete channel drop outs. Fab and Flawless worked a lot better for me as a combination, but those days have gone

if the channel list is identical in every way, they are almost certainly the same service. if its not, they are not.

Get some trials at /r/iptvresellers/ and check yourself.

I'm looking to do something for my service where we have our regular service which we rarely see problems with, but you can never rest on your laurels, and have a cheaper secondary sub as a back up. I just find it hard to figure out where providers get their streams from. We are a UK service so perhaps a US one would be a good choice. But back ups are definitely a must I feel :)

Your two services are the same and yes buy it from onlinehosting as it's cheaper and the community is great. My other service which is actually my primary is Nipsat-US. It was my backup in April when I got it and has now become my primary/more stable service. At $49 USD / year I'd say it's a steal! It has full epg and catch-up on many channels. Comes with ability to watch on two devices if you get m3u. Here's the link : https://nipsat.com/aff.php?aff=4

Online hosting world (aka steadfast) is full of dickheads

Avoid idrive unless you want to waste you time and constantly compare the competition. When they lower their prices, they do not pass on the lower price onto you when they automatically renew your account. According to them, you have to "call in" and request "to be moved" to the lower price, of course this is after waiting 20 min on the phone. (What's your time worth every renewal date?) So they screw their loyal customers and give preference to those signing up for the first time. Simply unprofessional.
