I set a timer to record a game yesterday on iptv extreme on my NVidia shield. I came home and it never even started to record. Does the NVidia shield going to sleep affect this? I saw where you can turn that off. Help me out please. I spent a lot of money on the NVidia shield and a 256gb usb Drive so I can record, and I want to get this to work.
I don't have a Shield but I have a Buzz box with microsd. I leave my TV and Buzz box on with Iptv Extreme Pro opened. I find I have better luck recording from Epg vs setting a custom timer. There is also a setting where I have it try like 100 retries if the stream goes bad. If you find the Epg isn't accurate you can record the show right after your game so it gets the full game. Hope this helps.

Yes, timers won"t work if in Sleep Mode. My solution was to go into android Setting >> Developer Options >> Stay Awake While Charging which prevented Sleep Mode and turn TV/Monitor Off. Not sure if Shield has this option.
Mine don't record on my shield even if the app is open and I set to start recording anything that is starting say 5 2 mins from now. It goes through the 100 retries and you get nothing. No error or anything

Mine works fine but I record via microsd in the older shield not usb.
I've given up trying to record on IPTV Extreme. Even got the Pro version
