LG SmartIPTV App VS Dedicated Box - Does this make sense??

I've been using the SmartIPTV app on my LG C7. I have a 120Mbs internet connection. I'm using Ultrabox and generally happy. I do get buffering at times and started wondering if a dedicated box would be better than the running through SmartIPTV app.

My thinking is that a dedicated box has a lot more built in memory than my LG C7 and would therefore allow for smoother playback???

Ive used both ( LG SmartIPTV AND zgemma i55 ), theres little difference in the playback

With a box you get much more customisation and a much better EPG

Yeah, don’t need much memory for IPTV.

A dedicated box can give you a more cable like feel, but by and large playback will be almost identical with most services.
