IP address is not visible to resellers but is logged at the service level. As was said, though...end users have rarely had any legal issues arising from this type of thing.
Nope, resellers/providers are in trouble, not users.
Everyone is mentioning trouble for copyright but that wasn't the question.
It is possible that the reseller is tracking IPs for trials but not likely as they can change often enough. It would seem more Likely that they could be tracking name, email, payment method... if they are restricting trials.
