Android TV box recommendations

Hi all,

I am looking to get an Android TV box, but i'm looking for some recommendations. I don't want to get anything Amazon or nVidia, and I have tried the T95Z Plus, but it kept crashing and locking up, so i sent it back.

If anyone could recommend something under the £100 mark with an ethernet port, it would be greatly appreciated.

[UPDATE] So before i left work yesterday, i was all prepared for purchasing the Formuler box however, it appears that some users have experienced issues with those too. There is a lot of people telling me to get the shield and apart from the price tag, no one has really said a bad thing about it. I know i said no nVidia in my original post, but i think im just going to go for it. It's much more than i wanted to spend, but it sounds like it's the better choice. I would like to thank everyone for their input in helping me make a decisiion. :-)

Just personal opinion, but I'd save up and buy a Shield. It's wonderful!

The miBox is a good recommendation. Solid box with good support.

The Z7+ is also a good recommendation if your primary goal is to watch IPTV. While its an android box its not quite as good as the miBox in that regard because it uses a hacked phone version of android...like most of the cheap Chinese boxes. The miBox uses android TV like the Nvidia Shield which is a much nicer experience. That said, for watching IPTV there aren’t many better experiences than the MyTVOnline app and the full function remote that comes with the Formuler box.

Mecool M8S Pro L box. Without a doubt. Runs the same system as the Shield. Can be found for $60-80

Stay away from mibox after the oreo update the box is slow and much more worse then ever..all over internet if you want to read what people think about the mibox now..

Mine was very good until oreo now very bad..

Nivida shield is my pick for you

I have a Mecool M8S Pro L, cheap but really fast and good! Same OS as Nvidia shield. I have even downloaded games such as Star wars Old republic, GTA San Andreas etc, works great!😊

I had a T95z plus and just bought a dreamlink box. Constant updates, fast, and exclusive app store only on the dreamlink for iptv, kodi, etc. no lags and easy to use. Happy I bought it

I also recommend the mecool m8s pro L, athough i dont use the voice myself. Cost me 100 cdn. Best box ive ever had.

If you're not too precious about it being an Android box, you can pick up a Formuler Z7+ for under 100 quid

If you want to just watch TV and enjoy life, get a MAG box, if you wanna crash your nerves with shitty IPTV apps on a chinese crap box, get a Android box.

I have the Shield and the mi box. I must say the mi box was a mistake. Once you use the shield its very hard to like anything else.

First post. Bought 2 of the formuler Z7+about 8 months ago after using a cheap Chinese box for a couple of years. mainly to stream IPTV. Love the formuler. Would buy again. Mine are both hard wired.
