Hi I have done a little bit of research on Plex....is it worth it? Does it essentially give you the ability to DVR your service?
I've had issues with plex and iptv services. I will say I've tried months ago so there may have been updates to iptv handlers. Some of the issues I'd run into are audio lag that's different on each channel and long tune times all around.
Just wanted to post in here to say that I installed xTeVe after seeing /u/jergo1976's comment and it works amazingly well. I used Xtreme-Editor to create my own M3U playlist and plugged that bad boy into xTeVe, basically building my own live TV line-up. Plex picked it up just fine as a "TV tuner" and loads the guide and everything well. Not only that but recording works wonderfully!
