hls-proxy with single connection IPTV service

by viper8690

Will using hls-proxy with an IPTV service that only allows 1 connection per account cause the account to be blocked?

hls-proxy helps with buffering as you end up controlling some of the settings like how many .ts video files you can download simultaneously. My concern is that the account will be flagged. I'm not familiar with how m3u playlists work.

Do programs that process m3u playlist just download the chunks sequentially?

this russian hls-proxy ?

The providers should be able to see that it's only one streams worth of data being sent to one user at a time, but if they really wanna stick you for violating the connection limit they might.

In general most media players do download sequentially only as it takes extra work to make HLS gathering async. However, of the 1000s of media players there are surely some with that same style of aggressive buffer caching which people probably use to watch IPTV.

Have you tried any other IPTV proxies yet? If you are interested I am building a new IPTV proxy with realtime adblock for live TV and I'm looking for alpha testers.
